La Luciérnaga (The Firefly) tells the story of Lucia, a married woman who after the sudden death of her estranged brother, she meets his fiancée Mariana. Gothic magic realism is used to depict the journey in which the two women mourn their loss together, resulting in the birth of a relationship neither of them could have ever foreseen.
